My Grandma Johnson passed away this morning. She was the one who had taught me to crochet, sew and garden. Looking back I wish I would of paid attention to it more. Every Summer from the time I could remember I was at her house, going to work with her and Grandpa. She was a hard working woman with lots of Sass and Vigor! I wish that the younger Grand kids could know the Grandma I grew up with. She was the wife of a great Preacher, and a Mother of 8 kids and countless Grand kids and almost as many Great Grand kids! To say that she will be missed is great understatement! I have watch her loose a Husband and a Son, the strength of this woman was amazing. I am sad and also relived that she is no longer with us. She has been deteriorating for some time now. Her mental awareness was leaving her and so was her zest for life. In her last days she was beginning to talk to Grandpa and we all knew it was close. She was the glue that held her family together and believe me you didn't want to cross Grandma! As I get older in the years I hope i can become just half of the lady she was. I will miss you dearly Grandma! I can't wait to see you and Grandpa in Heaven one day!
